Ryanair, the budget airline, is set to boost its presence in the Croatian capital during the upcoming summer season. In addition to the previously announced introduction of five new routes connecting Zagreb to Girona, Alicante, Marseille, Palma de Mallorca, and Pisa, the carrier now plans to elevate its frequencies across the Zagreb network. The expansion aims to offer just over 100 departing flights from Zagreb each week, resulting in an additional nineteen weekly services, reports EX-YU Aviation.
Among the routes experiencing increased frequencies are Malta, Malaga, Basel, Beauvais, London Stansted, Charleroi, Rome, Gothenburg, Weeze, and Podgorica. Ryanair will also continue its weekly service to Lanzarote, which was initiated during the winter season and will be sustained throughout the summer months.

However, the airline has opted not to reintroduce three routes that were maintained last summer, namely Bratislava, Brindisi, and Memmingen. Despite this, Ryanair plans to offer a total of 37,222 weekly seats on its Zagreb operations this summer, reflecting a substantial 21.8% increase compared to the same period last year.
The strategic expansion is anticipated to contribute to the growth of Zagreb Airport, already witnessing a noteworthy 12% increase in capacity during the peak summer months. To support its expanding Croatian network, including the launch of a new base in Dubrovnik and the expansion of existing bases in Zagreb and Zadar, Ryanair recently conducted a recruitment drive hiring forty new cabin crew members in the Croatian capital.
