During preparations for the upcoming tourist year, the Croatian Tourist Board has launched a promotional campaign aimed at encouraging early bookings and travel in 2024. The campaign targets key markets that generate the highest tourist traffic for Croatian tourism and are known to respond well to early bookings, including Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Belgium. The campaign will run until the end of February 2024 on the most significant booking platforms in these countries.
"Early travel planning, or rather early reservations, is a trend that is slowly but surely returning, especially in the context of more favorable prices. We can recall how travel during the COVID crisis was booked at the last minute, but as the market recovered, the trend of earlier bookings also returned. For this reason, we have decided to further encourage activities focused on a quicker and simpler selection of Croatian destinations for vacation. Our goal is to strengthen Croatia's position as a safe and high-quality tourist destination that will be one of the first choices for international guests when planning their ideal annual vacation," stated Kristjan Staničić, the director of the Croatian Tourist Board.
The campaign emphasizes tourist products that have the highest interest in the mentioned markets, such as natural beauty, culture, nautical tourism, and active recreation. Promotion activities will be implemented through offline, online, and social media channels. An additional value of these promotional activities is the promotion of Croatia through landing pages exclusively dedicated to our country and located on platforms where users can choose and book accommodation.
