Five reasons why you just must ride the Dubrovnik Cable Car, OK, we’ve limited it to five but it could quite easily have been 50! We’re not going to add iconic onto the list, although we could well have started with that. We’re not even going to add because it is the only cable car in the south of Croatia, you probably know that one already.
So here are our five reasons, if you really need a reason to enjoy this number one Dubrovnik attraction.

When we say views we really mean views with a capital V! Not only does the ride up offer some of the most unique, and indeed moving, views of the city but once you get to the top you’ll quickly realise that “you ain’t seen nothing yet!” One comment that we often hear is “I didn’t know which way to look first.” Mountains, the Adriatic Sea, the islands, we don’t want to spoil the surprise too much, but one hint – make sure you’ve got plenty of space in your mobile for photos.

Situated in the Imperial Fortress on top of the Srđ hill the Dubrovnik in the Homeland War 1991 – 1995 Museum is well worth a visit. This large Napoleonic fortress was the first line of defence for Dubrovnik in the Homeland War and is now a fitting home for this extensive museum.
Do I have to go back down?
After you’ve been captivated by the views you might think, well that’s it, isn’t it? No, no and once again no. Buggy rides bouncing through the nature, a café with probably the best view in Dubrovnik, a restaurant that is named Panorama for a reason, gift shops, cycling, hiking trails, we could go on and on.

Ok, we know that some people are afraid of heights and even cable cars, but the Dubrovnik Cable car is the ideal way to face those fears. For two reasons, a) the ride doesn’t last that long, a maximum of four minutes, and b) you’ll be distracted by the views that whole time.
