Croatia is certainly one of the favourite destination for German tourists and this has been confirmed by the latest list of the top 10 campsites in Europe, published by the ADAC portal dedicated to the PinCamp camping segment. Whilst the first two places on this list were taken by German campsites the third and fourth positions were both taken by Croatian campsites.
Aminess Maravea Camping Resort from Novigrad and Camping Omišalj took the third and fourth positions whilst another Croatian camp, the Zaton Holiday Resort, took sixth position.
Looking at the whole list of the most popular campsites by country, Germany is the leader with 53 campsites, followed by Croatia with 26 campsites and Italy with 18 campsites.
"The German car club ADAC is our most important strategic partner, and cooperation with them is of the highest priority for Croatia's long-term favourable and secure position on the German market," said Nera Miličić, the Croatian National Tourist Board Branch Manager in Munich.
ADAC as an institution enjoys the greatest trust of citizens in Germany and is often the place that tourists look at for information when planning a trip. Special training of sales agents on the diverse offer of Croatia will soon start in more than 150 ADAC branches throughout Germany in order to be better prepared for the period of the most intensive travel booking on the German market.
"Croatia is one of the favourite foreign destinations of Germans, and Germany is the most important market for Croatian tourism. Our cooperation is very good, and we are preparing some of the joint activities during the performance at the upcoming fair in Munich, where Croatia will be a partner country next year,” said Karlheinz Jungbeck, the President of the ADAC and Director of the Department of Tourism.
