Every summer the sea water quality on the beaches of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County is checked and the sixth regular testing this summer was carried out between the 27th of July and the 7th of August. The Public Health Institute of Dubrovnik-Neretva County checked sea water samples on the 120 beaches in the county and on 115 beaches the water passed with the highest standard.
Sea samples on all beaches complied with the requirements of the regulation on the quality of bathing sea. Out of a total of 120 beaches, the sea on 115 beaches was rated as a sea of excellent quality. The sea on the beach Trstenik on Pelješac was rated good, while the sea on the beaches Porporela and Stara Mokošica in Dubrovnik, Hotel Park on Korčula and Okuklje on Mljet was rated satisfactory.
The current sea temperature of the Adriatic in Dubrovnik is around 26 degrees, which is higher than the air temperature in many European capitals. So jump in, not only is the sea clean but it is also warm.
