The number of cases of COVID-19 in the Dubrovnik – Neretva County has risen to 112 as two new cases have been detected over the past 24 hours. From the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, 1,730 samples have been sent to Zagreb for analysis, and 26 samples were sent yesterday. On a positive note two people have made a full recovery, bringing the number of patients who have recovered to 54.
One of the newly infected people is a nurse from the Dubrovnik General Hospital and who was last on duty on the 19th of April, the nurse in question is currently undergoing epidemiological treatment. As of today, 14 positive patients are hospitalized, 11 people in the Infectious Disease Department of the Dubrovnik General Hospital, with one patient in the Intensive Care Unit, and two of them are in the secondary facility, the Dubrovnik Student Home.
A total of 376 citizens are in self-isolation and no cases of violation of the measure of self-isolation have been identified in the last 24 hours.
On Wednesday evening the County Civil Protection Directorate received a large amount of protective equipment and have distributed it to institutions providing care, such as homes for the elderly and children’s homes.
