Coronavirus: No new cases in Dubrovnik in past 24 hours

There have been no new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus in Dubrovnik in the past 24 hours and the number of people infected remains at 31.



At the regular morning press conference of the Civil Protection Headquarters of the Dubrovnik – Neretva County the Prefect of the County, Nikola Dobroslavic, announced that “There have been no cases in the last 24 hours. We are on the right track, we will continue to adhere strictly to the measures and we will overcome the crisis, we are optimistic.”

He added that “So far, we have 31 positive cases in the county, 203 samples have been sent to Zagreb, and today we expect 14 results. In the last 24 hours the measures of self-isolation have not been violated.”

The director of the County Institute of Public Health, Dr. Mato Lakić, commented that “Of the five newly diagnosed patients, three are from the same family. The fourth contacted coronavirus from someone who was already infected and with the fifth newer case we are looking for the source of infection. The average age of patients in Dubrovnik is 50 and 17 patients are women and 14 men, the majority of the patients are from Konavle and are connected to the airport where the first case in Dubrovnik appeared.”
