Croatian studio SODArchitects has won the prestigious German Design Award 2020 - in the Excellent Architecture category for their Tinel houses in Zrnovo, Korcula – Jutarnji.hr reports.
The project received the 2nd Leonardo Award 2015 at the Biennale of Young Architects in Minsk and was a finalist for the shortlist of the S.ARCH Conceptual Design Award 2016. Attractive 3D simulations of the project competed then, but the realization and photographs of the objects far outweigh them.
Two Tinel houses are located in the Tri zala Bay and have their own access to the beach about 100 meters long. Each house is 240 square meters in size. Living areas - kitchen, dining and lounge are located on the highest floor of each building. With the associated terrace, rooftop deck with swimming pool and outdoor barbecue area, they form a functional unit and have the best view. Below them are three bedrooms with bathrooms, and on the bottom floor there is a large car and boat garage and a gym and service areas. Each house has its own infinity pool overflow measuring about 4.5 x 5.5 meters – Jutarnji.hr reports.
