Dubrovnik has been treated to one of the mildest Januarys on record with seemingly constant blue skies and temperatures in the mid to high teens, but yesterday that all changed. Dubrovnik went from being the warmest city in Croatia in January to the wettest.
When it rains in Dubrovnik it really rains and yesterday the city was the wettest across the whole of the country. In fact, twice as much rain fell on Dubrovnik than any other city in Croatia. Just over 51 mm of rain fell in the city yesterday, compared to Zagreb and Split which saw virtually no rain whatsoever.
And the weather forecast for this week shows more rain and unsettled weather. Today should be a mixture of rain and sunshine, but Tuesday and Wednesday both show heavy rain. Thursday and Friday will continue with the mixed weather and temperatures throughout the whole week should reach a maximum of around 14 degrees. It isn’t a week to be without an umbrella!
