Dubrovnik will play host to a magical Christmas event this weekend with the “City of St. Nicholas” on the menu of the Dubrovnik Winter Festival.
For the first time ever as part of the Dubrovnik Winter Festival the City of St. Nicholas event will create a living fairy tale in Dubrovnik. The fun opens on the 7th of December at 3:00pm in the atrium of the Marin Drzic Theatre in the very heart of the Old City. And the first day will see a Chocoland magic chocolate corner, Magic Brush - “Become a Prince or a Princess for a day” make-up for princesses and princes, Art workshop - making Christmas decorations and cards, Christmas Dance Program - Dubrovnik Dance and Recreational Studio and the play, The tale of Goddess Mokosh, a production by the Marin Držić Theatre, directed by Srđana Šimunović.
The Tale of Goddess Mokosh
And on Sunday the 8th of December the fun continues, again at 3:00pm, in the City of St. Nicholas with an even wider program that features Fairy Tale World - telling Christmas fairy tales with animation, as well as a repeat of all the other events from Saturday including the play in the theatre. And of course both days will see a rather special guest, St. Nicholas. And ideal way to entertain the children on the run-up to Christmas and energise their creative side.
