Recent earthquakes didn't do much damage in Dubrovnik other than leaving many citizens a bit shook up, but it seems that the strongest one that happened on Tuesday affected the problem that was already there: a leak at the Great Onofrio's Fountain.
Niko Kapetanic, President of the Society of Friends of Dubrovnik Antiques that takes care of the Fountain commented the problem for Dubrovacki vjesnik, saying that a team of experts, representatives of the Society, contractors and the Conservation Department in Dubrovnik had come on Wednesday to determine what it was all about and of course to begin fountain repair.
-The fountain was already damaged at that place and the water was leaking a little, but it wasn't as big as it is now. It seems that after this earthquake this problem has increased and that there is more water so everything will be repaired immediately - said Kapetanic.
Great Onofrio's Fountain was restored in the first half of 2016, and the total value of the works funded by the Society of Friends of Dubrovnik Antiquities was one and a half million Kuna.
