After being named one of the top destinations for 2019 at the beginning of the year, Cavtat has won another valuable international recognition - the Silver Level in the Communities in Bloom competition. The winners were announced at a closing ceremony last weekend in the Canadian city of Yarmouth, and the award will be presented to representatives of the Konavle Municipality and the Konavle Tourist Board in November at the closing ceremony of this year's INTERSTAS Tourism Film Festival and Tourism Fair in Solin.
The explanation says:
-Cavtat and its surroundings are full of extremely valuable cultural and historical sites and monuments that are managed. At Bukovac House, the curator simply captures the audience by guiding them through the life and home of this remarkable artist. Similarly, the Konavle Local Museum presents a detailed account of the Konavle folk costume and the Konavle embroidery, where the removal of silk thread from the silkworm moths is presented. The Konavoski Dvori Green Restaurant offers traditional food that waiters serve in traditional costumes. All cultural and historical attractions are very well accompanied by tourist information in several languages .
