The Women’s Bank Walk gathered in Dubrovnik for the fifth year in a row and collected a record number of donations. Participants collected in front of the Sponza Palace and took a symbolic walk along the Stradun to mark this important day. The Women’s Bank Walk aim is to raise awareness and funds to help women in undeveloped countries, in terms of education and training.
The organisers have announced that the Dubrovnik walk collected an impressive 6,284 Euros which represents a 50 percent increase over last year. The money was collected from donations from participants as well money paid into the associations account. There was also a donation of 30 Euros per participant paid for by the Finnish sponsors.
The Women’s Bank Walk took place in 104 cities across Finland and Europe and again proved to be a very successful event.
