Dubrovnik-Neretva County warns the public that there is a short-term pollution with faeces at the Porporela beach in Dubrovnik.
According to the information provided by the Institute of Public Health of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, during the ninth sea quality survey it was determined that the results at Porporela beach in Dubrovnik, sampled on September 9th 2019, show that the values for the microbiological parameter Escherichia coli were exceeded.
Sampling will have to be repeated until contamination ceases. Pollution was notified to the Environmental Inspectorate and other competent inspections. Considering that sea samples at Porporela beach in Dubrovnik are contaminated, it is not recommended to swim there until further notice.
