About a week ago, it was reported that the sea at the Donje Celo Beach on the island of Kolocep (Kalamota) is not recommended for swimming due to the fecal pollution. 

The County Administrative Department for Public Utilities and Environmental Protection, in accordance with the Regulation on the quality of the sea for swimming, today informed the public about the ending of sudden fecal pollution.

The Institute for Public Health of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County sampled additional marine samples on 28th, 29th of August and 4th September 2019.

The test results meet the requirements of the Regulation, which indicates the cessation of sudden pollution, and the sea at Donje Celo beach in Koločep is suitable for swimming.
This is not the first time this summer that the sea at Donje Celo got polluted, but it's hopefully the last.
