The first ships docked at the new waterfront in Dominče near Korcula yesterday. After Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic visited the newly constructed seafront a few days ago and the operational coast got its license two days ago and the first ships used the waterfront yesterday.
The construction of the new waterfront on the island of Korcula was part of a 10 million Kuna project and is aimed at easing the flow of ships around the island. After some initial concerns that the project wouldn’t be finished on time the actual new waterfront was put into operation a month ahead of schedule.
The Korcula County Port Authority Director signed a contract for the construction of the waterfront with, worth over HRK 10 million, with the representatives of Pomgrad Engineering. Korcula now has a new coastline to be proud of.
