Sea at Donje Celo not good for swimming

By  Jul 11, 2019

Sea on the beach Donje Celo on the island of Kolocep near Dubrovnik is contaminated with fecal waters and is not recommended for swimming - the Public Health Institute of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County reported.

This is the third beach in the last two weeks in the south of Croatia which is closed due to sudden pollution of the faeces. First was Srebreno, followed by the beach in front of the Hotel Rixos Libertas.

The Public Health Institute took samples on the beach of Donje Celo on July 10th, after the Center 122 reported the sudden pollution of the sea in the evening. By analyzing the samples it has been found that it does not meet the requirements of the Regulation on the quality of bathing water. Additional samples will be taken up to the end of the contamination.
