The quality of the sea water in front of the Hotel Rixos Libertas is suitable for swimming again, since the sample analysis meet the requirements of the Bathing Water Quality Regulation.
On the 5th of July the Public Health Institute of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County sampled the sea water on the beach of Hotel Libertas Rixos and the sea water was not suitable for swimmers. According to available information, the Libertas public sewage pumping station had been shut down due to power supply shortages. This malfunction was fixed in the early morning hours of the 6th of July.
During the contamination, swimmers were advised to avoid this beach, but now they can swim without any worry. Additional samples will be taken in a week, in order to confirm the end of contamination.
