The quality of the sea water in front of the Hotel Rixos Libertas is not suitable for swimming. On the 5th of July the Public Health Institute of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County sampled the sea water on the beach of Hotel Libertas Rixos and the sea water is not suitable for swimmers.
According to available information, the Libertas public sewage pumping station had been shut down due to power supply shortages. This malfunction was fixed in the early morning hours of the 6th of July.
There is a red warning flag on the beach because the sample analysis does not meet the requirements of the Bathing Water Quality Regulation. Additional samples will be taken sampled until the contamination ceases, it is not recommended to swim until further notice, stated the Dubrovnik-Neretva County.
