Dubrovnik beaches pass sea water quality test with flying colours

Out of the 118 beaches in the Dubrovnik – Neretva County 111 have been rated as having sea water of excellent quality. Throughout the summer season the quality of the sea water of the Adriatic throughout the whole of the county is regularly tested and the results from the latest survey have been released.

The Public Health Institute of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County performed the third regular sea survey on the 118 beaches from the period from the 17th to the 26th of June 2019. The sea on 117 beaches corresponded to the requirements of the Bathing Water Quality Regulation, with only the beach in Srebreno failing to pass this rigorous tests. However, on the 27th and 28th of June further samples of the sea water at Srebreno were taken and the sea water passed.

Out of the other 117 beaches, the sea at 111 beaches was rated as a sea of outstanding quality. Whilst the sea water on the beaches of Libertas Rixos Hotel in Dubrovnik, VK Cavtat in Konavle, Mlini in Župa Dubrovačka and Uvala Luka in Trpanj was rated as sea of good quality, while the sea on the beaches Šulić and Danče in Dubrovnik was rated with a satisfactory rating.
The sea temperature in Dubrovnik is currently around 25 degrees.
