As part of the bilateral military co-operation of the Croatian Navy with the French Navy, from 29rd of April to May 2nd, the Alizé diving ship will be in Gruz Harbor.
On that occasion, Mayor of the City of Dubrovnik Mato Frankovic greeted the commander of the ship, Captain Emmanuel Caillat with the delegation. They were also accompanied by a liaison officer for the Croatian Navy, Lieutenant Commander Robert Jovica.
A the reception they talked about the tourist season in Dubrovnik, a positive relationship that the City of Dubrovnik nurtures with the city's friends, including the French town of Rueil-Malmaison, as well as the "Game Throne" series that was shot in the city.
Mayor Frankovic emphasized that the series certainly brought a certain popularity to the city, but that Dubrovnik has been known for centuries in the world thanks to its very rich history. Its success was based on strong diplomacy but also on significant investments such as water supply, sewerage, trade and pharmacy development.
With the occasional exchange of gifts, Mayor Frankovic thanked the delegation on arrival and wished them a welcome and pleasant stay in Dubrovnik.
