The fifth edition of Du Motion - Runners' Days Dubrovnik in Dubrovnik brings runners from 50 countries around the world.
-The interest in this event exceeded all expectations, so a thousand spots for the Dubrovnik half-marathon were sold almost three months before the event, and shortly after, the attractive race on the Walls was sold out too. For that event exclusively, this world famous city sight is tourist free and it’s reserved for runners. One hundred of runners will have the opportunity to enjoy the unique view of the City and its surroundings on Saturday, April 27th – the organizes said.
With a thousand half-marathon participants, the same number of runners will run on the April 28th on the humanitarian, which was also sold out a few days ago, and the collected money this year goes for Neuro-Rehabilitation of Ante Kolundija, Du Motion volunteer who was hurt last year in a car accident. On Saturday, April 27th, the Children's Race will be held, in which Dubrovnik kindergartens and elementary school students participate.
Organizers say that nearly 800 people is involved in the organization, with almost 500 volunteers from elementary and high schools. The organization also includes a number of city services, the Red Cross, members of sport and auto clubs and a dozen Croatian Mountaineering service members who will assist in keeping the racers safe.
