According to the eVisitor tourist registration system, 55 894 tourists stayed in Dubrovnik from 1st to 31st of March, which is 42 percent more than in the same period of 2018. They made 98 476 overnight stays, or 2 percent more than last year.
In March, most guests were from Germany, Croatia, USA, Bosnia and Herzegovina, United Kingdom, Korea, Spain, Sweden, Albania and Japan.
From 1st of January to 31st of March 2019, 101 325 tourists stayed in Dubrovnik (53 percent more than in the same period last year) and 186 413 overnight stays were made (12 percent more than 2018). Since the beginning of the year, most guests were from Croatia, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, USA, Korea, Sweden, Belgium, United Kingdom, Japan and Spain.
Of the total number of tourists from 1st of January to 31st of March, 90 729 guests stayed in 51 Dubrovnik hotels, which makes stays in hotel accommodation 67 percent higher compared to the same period of 2018. They made 144 479 overnight stays, or 19 percent more than last year.
In the private accommodation, from the beginning of the year to the end of January, there were 7,054 guests, while 7,416 overnights stays were recorded.
Record-breaking tourist data in Dubrovnik from the beginning of the year are the result of direct winter flights from seven European destinations (Frankfurt, London, Istanbul, Madrid, Barcelona, Rome and
