The city of Dubrovnik signed a contract for the purchase of three lifters to help to people with disabilities to enter the sea.
One of the lifters will be placed in Zaton, and it’s value is 61,800 kuna without VAT. The others will be placed at the island of Lopud, in front of the Hotel Lafodia and on the beach Zaorsan in Sudurad, on the island of Sipan. Joint price for two lifters is 160,000 kuna without VAT.
By the beginning of the swimming season, all the lifters should be installed. The deadline to build in lifters on the islands is two months, while the lift in Zaton should be installed this spring. The lifters will make it easier to enter the sea for people with disabilities thanks to possibility of 360 degree turning and stopping in any position using the hand lever.
It’s good to know - Zaton already has one lifter for people with disabilities, as well as the beaches of Copacabana and Mandrac in Solitudo.
