Robin Hood filmed in Dubrovnik nominated for the Golden Raspberry award

The 39th annual Golden Raspberry awards (commonly referred to as the Razzies) have been announced and Robin Hood is one of the nominees in the Worst Picture category and in the category of the Worst Remake, Spinoff or Sequel. Unflattering nomination for the movie that was partly filmed in Dubrovnik came after many bad comments and 5,4 rating on IMDb.

Also, Jamie Foxx who played Little John, is nominated in the category of the worst supporting actor. Not so lucky winners will be announced on February 23rd, the day before the Oscars.

The Golden Raspberry Awards (also known in short terms as Razzies and Razzie Awards) is a mock booby prize award in recognition of the worst in film. The term raspberry in the name is used in its irreverent sense, as in "blowing a raspberry". The awards themselves are in the form of a "golf ball-sized raspberry" atop a Super 8 mm film reel, all spray painted gold.

Dubrovnik acted as Nottingham and Sherwood Forest and the filming of the movie brought it great publicity. The all action movie features Taron Egerton as Robin Hood, Eve Hewson (the daughter of Bono from U2) as Maid Marion, Oscar award winning Jamie Foxx as Little John and the Irish heartthrob and star of the Fifty Shades of Grey franchise, Jamie Dornan, as Will Scarlet.

During the filming, they were all seen in Dubrovnik, causing a fuss – especially Jamie Dornan, whose fans couldn't wait to see him. However, he wasn't so approachable as Jamie Foxx, who was clearly having fun in the Old City, taking photos with locals and buying from local stores. We are sad that he is nominated, but as it's said – there is no such thing as bad publicity.
