Ryanair launches new flights to Dubrovnik for 2019

By  Dec 03, 2018

The biggest low-cost airline in the world, Ryanair, will fly to Dubrovnik from Dublin in 2019. This will be a historic move by the Irish based airline as it is the first time that Ryanair has operated flights to Dubrovnik.

The new Ryanair flights to Dubrovnik from Dublin will operate four times a week as part of the airline’s summer schedule for 2019. And along with Dubrovnik the airline will also connect Split.

The Dublin Airport Managing Director, Vincent Harrison, welcomed the news stating that "These beautiful Croatian cities are full of culture and history and I have no doubt they will be hugely popular destinations.” Adding that “"We will work close with Ryanair’s management team to promote its new services.”

Ryanair will have a total of 13 new services from Dublin Airport next summer to Bodrum, Bordeaux, Bournemouth, Caligari, Dubrovnik, Frankfurt, Gothenburg, Kyiv, London Southend, Lourdes, Luxembourg, Split and Thessaloniki.

Ryanair has until now be in long-term negotiations with Dubrovnik Airport regarding flights on this popular line. Until now the airport had rejected the terms and conditions that the low-cost airline demanded but it would appear a deal has been struck and Irish media broke the news today.

Flights from Dublin to Dubrovnik open on Sunday the 3rd of June 2019 and will operate until the 25th of October. The flights are already available for sale on Ryanair’s website.

And according to information from the Ryanair website the flights from Dublin to Dubrovnik will be operated four times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Dubrovnik is an extremely popular destination for Irish tourists and these new flights are sure to be popular with both potential Irish tourists and Croatians living and working in Ireland. And even though these first flights with Ryanair only cover the already busy summer period it must be hoped that interest in connecting these two cities throughout the winter months can be found.
