At the symbolic small ceremony, held at the restaurant Mimoza Dubrovnik's Tourist Board awarded longtime guests of the city of Dubrovnik.
It’s sort of tradition of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board to symbolically award guests that are coming to Dubrovnik for many years, who are also the best promoters of tourist offer. One of many are married couple Uli and Renate Kwetkat from Herne, Germany, that have been loyal to Dubrovnik for 21 years.
Their first arrival to Dubrovnik was in 1997, when they came to help and support Dubrovnik after the Homeland War. With Don Péter's help from Saint Peter's Parish, they connected young people from Germany and Dubrovnik. During their numerous arrivals and stays in Dubrovnik, several times a year, they made life lasting friendships, especially with Anko and Branko Danicic and Dubravko Cacic.
On behalf of the City of Dubrovnik, gifts were handed to the couple by Sandra Milovcevic and Aida Hadzic, who thanked the Kwetkat couple for their loyalty and expressed their hope that they will continue their tradition of visiting Dubrovnik.
For Dubrovnik, the guests that come back year after year are especially precious because they are loyal to our region and they proudly share their connection with Dubrovnik in their homeland.
