If things go as they are planned, new season at the beautiful island of Lokrum will start on Saturday, March 31st. First ship will leave at 10 am from the Old City Port, while the last to leave the island will be at 4 pm.
What a perfect timing to open the season – especially for the young ones who will get their chance to have an Easter (chocolate) egg hunt with the big bunny on the island of Lokrum. On Easter, April 1st, the bunny will visit Stradun, as well as children who are in Dubrovnik General Hospital.
Just recently Lokrum has published a new price list. This year tickets will cost 150 kuna (about 20 euro) instead of 120 kuna like last year. The price for groups (through agency) will also be bigger – it increased from 100 to 120 kuna per person, while the ticket faor children (from 5 to 15 years) will stay 25 kuna.
As they state from Lokrum administration, correction of the prices of tourist services and excellent partnerships with the restaurant owners at the island enabled numerous investments in order to achieve better environmental protection and greater comfort and safety for visitors. The island is richer for a new rubber boat that will serve for emergency interventions and better surveillance of the island from the sea, while Zrinski and Skala, ships that take you to Lokrum, have improved machinery and reconstructed the benches. Lokrum will host the main season with new inox ladders for entering the sea and new showers will be set up at four locations.
