Just a few years ago it wasn't weird to see children playing all over the Old City. Football was played right by the Cathedral, boys and girls were running through the streets and Stradun was a central playground.
However, with the increasing number of tourists and decreasing number of locals living inside the City Walls, children playing at the streets is now unusual, but such a lovely sight.
It was like a blast of the past to see boys playing handball, right after European Handball Championship. Maybe they were dreaming that one day they will play just like their favorite players. And maybe they will – remembering that their first handball steps were made right in the heart of the Old City – at Stradun.
