Star Wars lovers are getting more and more excited – the new Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer just went out and reminded them that movie release date is just 2 months from now – December 13th.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi (also known as Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi) is the second film in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, following Star Wars: The Force Awakens  from 2015. The film is produced by Lucasfilm and will be distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

This movie is quite special for Dubrovnik, since it has been used as a filming location. Time flies and it seems that it was just yesterday when this Star Wars blockbuster was filmed on the various locations in our city– and it was back in March last year. Even Stradun, the main street that goes all through the historic core, was transformed into a galaxy far, far away. The guess is that Dubrovnik will act as casino planet Canto Bight.

Even though Dubrovnik can’t be seen in the trailer, we are excited to see how it will look like in the movie. Two months left!
