Filming Europe, the Association of European Film Commissions, will give an award for the best European location in Cinema and TV industries for the first time.
Dubrovnik made it through the first phase and is now on the final shortlist. It was placed on the list because of the filming of the famous serial Game of Thrones. King’s Landing, remember?
- Dubrovnik, Croatia, the Medieval dream of everybody who would like to see himself with an helmet in the head and a sword in his hand fighting for the Seven Kingdoms. This city was loved just by the begin by the Game of Thrones’ producers because it was as eternal as they couldn’t imagine; they thought it was the perfect one to immortalize the legendary King’s Landing in a place where the present mix inevitably with the past on the eternal walls of the old heritage of the Republic of Ragusa – it’s written on the official page.
But Dubrovnik is not the only Croatian representative in this competition. Fortress Kastilac, located in the city of Kastela was also nominated because of Game of Thrones.
Now it’s time to vote - you can do it easily by filling the online form. The voting lasts until October 25th.
