The Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service (DHMZ) has issued an orange weather warning for Dubrovnik this Saturday, forecasting the possibility of thunderstorms, heavy downpours, and strong winds across the region.

Dubrovnik and the wider southern Dalmatian coast are expected to experience unsettled conditions starting Friday, with periods of rain and local thunderstorms. The weather could intensify from midday, bringing the risk of short-lived gales and flash flooding in some areas.

Temperatures will remain warm, with highs between 26 and 31 °C, and slightly cooler conditions expected over the weekend as unstable weather continues.

On the Adriatic, including Dubrovnik, a moderate to strong jugo is forecast, adding to the unsettled conditions both at sea and along the coast.

DHMZ has warned residents and visitors to remain cautious, especially in exposed coastal areas, and to follow official updates as conditions develop.
