The Dubrovnik-Neretva County Tourist Board and the Dubrovnik Tourist Board will participate again this year at the world’s most important tourism fair, ITB in Berlin, held from March 4-6, 2025.
This year’s ITB fair carries the slogan “The World of Travel Lives Here” and, since 2023, has been open exclusively to tourism professionals.
In cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, daily tastings of Croatian wines and cheeses will be organized at the stand.
For more than 60 years, the name ITB has been synonymous with industry knowledge 365 days a year, networking, and trend-setting events, whether in virtual, in-person, or hybrid formats.
Despite the not-so-favorable political and economic developments in both Germany and globally, the organizers emphasize optimism in the entire travel and tourism industry.
This optimistic outlook is supported by completely filled halls and a record number of 5,800 domestic and international exhibitors, which is a 5% increase compared to last year.
Exhibitors come from more than 170 countries, further emphasizing the global reach of the world’s leading tourism fair.
In Berlin, the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Tonči Glavina, and the Director of the Croatian Tourist Board, Kristjan Staničić, will be present. They will receive awards from the European Best Destination portal, which named Croatia as the best destination for 2025.
In 2024, Dubrovnik-Neretva County was visited by 153,615 tourists from Germany, a 1% decrease compared to 2023. They achieved 668,952 overnight stays, which is a 2.5% decrease compared to the previous year.
