A new pharmacy is expected to open on Mljet by the end of the year. The pharmacy, currently situated in a small and inadequate space within the health station in Babino Polje, will be relocated approximately 300 meters away to the Cultural Center.

Mayor Đivo Market announced that the new facility will provide a larger and fresher environment for residents and visitors, offering an improved selection of medications. The space, owned by the Municipality of Mljet, will be renovated as it currently houses the accounting office.

“This is a strategically positioned location between the health station and the Municipality, ensuring accessibility for all,” Market stated. The move aims to enhance pharmacy services, transitioning from a cramped five or six square meter depot to a more suitable and quality space.
