A seabed cleaning action in Lapad Bay was held on Thursday, organized by the Dubrovnik Diving Club and the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, with the support of the City of Dubrovnik.

The waste was collected by the public cleaning company "Čistoća" Dubrovnik, and 26 volunteers participated both in the sea and on land. On this occasion, 300 kilograms of various waste were extracted from the seabed at this popular beach.

Continuous cleaning of the environment and seabed is ongoing, and last weekend a cleaning action was held on the island of Jakljan, where about 7 cubic metres of various waste were extracted from the seabed.

This year, the Dubrovnik Diving Club is celebrating its 60th anniversary.
