The Dubrovnik Diving Club and the Department of Tourism, Economy, and Sea organized an eco-action on the island of Jakljan in collaboration with the Civil Protection DIP Split and guests from the Mostar Diving Club.
On Saturday and Sunday, around 40 divers conducted multiple dives in the large bay of Jakljan Island.
Jakljan is an uninhabited island and is part of the Elaphiti Islands located northwest of Dubrovnik.
A significant amount of waste, approximately seven cubic metres of various debris, was retrieved exclusively from the seabed.
Frequent eco-actions initiated by the Dubrovnik Diving Club on this island have led to noticeable improvements in the seabed's cleanliness. This and similar actions are an excellent example of how we can create positive change together and take care of our sea.
