The City of Dubrovnik continues its strict monitoring of the use of public spaces by businesses within the city walls. Two hospitality establishments, 'Fontana' and 'Karaka,' both located on Ulica između Polača, have had their public space rental agreements terminated for a period of seven days.
During the measurement of noise levels in front of the hospitality establishments 'Fontana' and 'Karaka' by an authorized surveyor, it was determined that the lessees of the public spaces exceeded the allowed noise levels and committed violations of the Decision on Hospitality Activities in the City of Dubrovnik, the Decision on Public Space Rental, and the Misdemeanour Law.
“The lessees are required to stop using the public spaces subject to the rental agreement and remove all tables and chairs from the public space. They may request a new agreement after rectifying the circumstances that led to the termination, but not before the expiration of the seven-day period,” stated the city administration.
The municipal inspection will continue to enhance the supervision of the use of public spaces and the adherence of lessees to the public space rental agreements, as well as the monitoring of permitted noise levels.
