In addition to starring in iconic films such as "The Prestige," "American Psycho," and "Empire of the Sun," Bale has portrayed Bruce Wayne/Batman three times in the legendary ‘The Dark Knight Trilogy’ by British director Christopher Nolan, which includes: "Batman Begins," "The Dark Knight," and "The Dark Knight Rises." He is an Oscar winner for Best Supporting Actor for his role in "The Fighter."

Bale (50) has been married for 24 years to Sandra Sibi Blažić, who is of Serbian descent. They have two children, daughter Emmeline (19) and son Joseph (10), and interestingly, his children speak both English and Serbian.
