With the adoption of the Final Proposal for Amendments and Supplements to the Urban Development Plan "Kupari I" at the end of May by the Municipal Council of Župa Dubrovačka, the path has been cleared for the next phase of the Kupari Dubrovnik Resort project – obtaining the location permit. The architectural studio 3LHD, co-founded by Dubrovnik native Marko Dabrović, presented the future appearance of the tourist resort to be built on the site of the ruined former military complex Kupari. They remind us that the investor in the project is the Singaporean company HPL.
"We are working with Scape Design on the landscaping project, while Meyer Davis and LW Design Group are handling the interior design. The project plans to reconstruct five historic hotels into a unique tourist complex with approximately 400 beds. (...) The existing hotel structures at the base of the slope on both sides of the plot will be renovated to high standards, featuring a five-star hotel on one side and 32 apartments and 4 villas on the other. Green roofs and large glass surfaces on the facades will enable the accommodation units to seamlessly blend into the natural surroundings. The centrally located Grand Hotel will be restored as the central part of the complex, with spa facilities, a specialty restaurant, and a banquet hall," states 3LHD, providing visualizations of the future appearance of the accommodation units.
