In the Great Hall of the City of Dubrovnik, a bilateral meeting was held yesterday with a delegation from the Senate Committee on Tourism of Thailand.
The Deputy Mayor of Dubrovnik, Jelka Tepšić, presented the Respect the City project, outlining all the measures the City is taking to achieve tourism sustainability, as well as the excellent figures that tourist Dubrovnik has recorded over the past two years. Among other things, the discussion covered the Management Plan and other measures focusing on the historic core, as well as tools like the Dubrovnik Pass. The activities of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board were also presented, including events ranging from culinary to cultural and sports, which provide additional offerings for tourists throughout the year.
The delegation was initially welcomed on behalf of the Ministry of Culture and Media by Bruno Diklić, Head of the Conservation Department in Dubrovnik, and the projects and programs of their institutions were presented by Mihaela Skurić, Director of the Institute for the Restoration of Dubrovnik, and Vedran Kosović, President of the Society of Friends of Dubrovnik Antiquities.
The Thai delegation, led by the President of the Senate Committee on Tourism, Tanasak Patimapragorn, is on a study trip in Croatia, as well as in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
