The Mayor of Dubrovnik, Mato Franković, held a meeting with representatives of suppliers providing delivery services to restaurants and other businesses in the historic city centre as preparation for the upcoming season, announced the city administration.
It was emphasized that last year's measures worked well, and this season will follow the same principles. Delivery vehicles will be allowed to enter the historic centre according to an operational plan, or precise schedule, to reduce the simultaneous number of vehicles on Stradun.
The Mayor also announced that new electric delivery vehicles will soon arrive for Sanitat, increasing the possibility of faster and higher-quality supply to the historic centre. He also reminded that the Decision on Communal Order from last year prohibits the use of pallet trucks to reduce noise and preserve cultural heritage, allowing only vehicles with inflated tires to be used. Some of these measures were adopted following the expressed needs of residents at the citizens' assembly of the City District Grad.
