This morning at 1 o'clock, the wider Dubrovnik area was struck by an earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale, with its epicentre in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 18 kilometres west of Bileća, reported by the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
Apart from causing some concern among the population, the earthquake did not result in any material damage. The ground shaking was described as a short-lived light tremor, and it was felt not only in Dubrovnik but also west of the city, in the wider Dubrovnik area, and further towards the Neretva region.
