Today, on January 12, 2024, at exactly 12:09, seismographs of the Seismological Service of the Republic of Croatia recorded a minor earthquake near Ston.

The magnitude of the earthquake was 2.6 on the Richter scale, with an estimated intensity of III on the EMS scale, according to the information from the Seismological Service of the Republic of Croatia.

The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Service (EMSC) reported that today’s quake was 5 kilometres NNW of the village of Podgora.
