Prefect Nikola Dobroslavić Outlines Ambitious Projects and New Year Wishes for Dubrovnik-Neretva County in 2024

Written by  Dec 31, 2023

The Prefect of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, Nikola Dobroslavić, reflected on the past year and sent New Year's greetings to fellow citizens.

Dear fellow citizens,

We are concluding a year that has been good and successful, with numerous accomplished projects.

We are entering a new one where significant projects await us, crucial for a quality and secure life in our county.

The historic project of continuing the construction of the highway to Osojnik is starting, as well as the construction of the Orebić Bypass and two new ports: Perna and Prigradica. The project of the expressway to the airport must proceed without delay.

We will launch the project to protect the Neretva Valley from salinization, with a dam on the Neretva, securing the future of agriculture in our Neretva.

The renovation of the Special Hospital Kalos and the General Hospital Dubrovnik is in progress.

We will build or expand schools in Cavtat, Župa Dubrovačka, Metković, Ploče, and Vela Luka.

Our government has secured 28 million euros in non-refundable funds from EU funds for projects on the islands and Pelješac.

We expect another good tourist season in the coming year.

In 2024, we enter with optimism and confidence, with the support and secured financing for our projects from our government and EU funds.

Dear fellow citizens, I wish you health, family harmony, and all-around success in the new year,

Nikola Dobroslavić
