In the past week, within the jurisdiction of the Dubrovnik-Neretva Police Department, there were 9 traffic accidents with injured persons, where four individuals suffered severe injuries, and 13 sustained minor injuries, while 12 traffic accidents resulted in material damage, as highlighted by the Dubrovnik-Neretva Police Department.

While conducting traffic control measures, police officers took 871 repressive measures against traffic offenders.

"We emphasize the measures taken against individuals, perpetrators of offenses who are the most common causes of severe traffic accidents, the so-called 'four killers in traffic.' In this regard, 447 individuals were sanctioned for exceeding the permitted speed limit, 41 measures were taken against individuals not wearing seat belts, and 24 individuals were penalized for driving under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, 40 individuals were fined for improper use of mobile phones while driving," stated the Police Department.
