The Assembly of Dubrovnik Airport has made an official decision - Dubrovnik Airport will bear the name of Ruđer Bošković! During a session held in Zagreb, the initiative to add the name of the scientist to the airport received support from the members of the assembly and the official decision was voted and passed.
This initiative was initially launched by County Prefect Nikola Dobroslavić during the commemoration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great scientist. It gained further momentum when it received support from local government units.
And County Prefect Dobroslavić announced the news on social media:
"With the decision of the Assembly of Dubrovnik Airport, made during a session held in Zagreb, it has been decided that Dubrovnik Airport will bear the name of Dubrovnik's, Croatian, and global giant Ruđer Bošković. A well-deserved honor to our greatest scientist," wrote Dobroslavić.
