Dubrovnik once again a magnet for cruise ships

From the beginning of the year to the end of September, 76 cruise ships entered Croatian seaports and 519 different cruises were made, according to data from the State Statistics Office (DZS).

 

The number of cruises by foreign ships in the Croatian Adriatic increased by a massive 385 compared to last year, and there were 506,000 passengers who stayed in Croatia for 1,101 days.

 

76 different foreign cruise ships from 13 countries cruised the Croatian Adriatic in the first nine months.

 

The number of passengers on foreign cruise ships in the first nine months of this year, compared to the same period last year, increased by 368 thousand.

 

Out of 519 round trips, most of them were made in Dubrovnik-Neretva County - 44.9 percent and the Split-Dalmatia County - 31.2 percent.

 

The remaining 23.9 percent was achieved in Zadar, Istria, Primorje-Gorski Kotar and Šibenik-Knin counties.

 

The most visits by foreign cruise ships were in the port of Dubrovnik (342), followed by Split (211) and Zadar (117).
