Written by  Nov 05, 2022

Dubrovnik has had an extremely successful end to the tourist season with almost 129,500 guests in the Dubrovnik - Neretva County this October. When the season finally winds up and the i’s and dotted and the t’s crossed it will be no doubt be seen as an impressive bounce back from the two years of the pandemic. October, which is traditionally the last month of tourism in the wider Dubrovnik region, saw 452,500 overnight stays, or 13 percent more when compared with the same month from last year.

Now as November has begun the flights have already started to dry up and the majority of hotels will close their doors until next spring. Looking back at the year so far the Dubrovnik - Neretva County has recorded 7.61 million overnight stays from the beginning of the year until the end of October. This figure represents a massive 46 percent more when compared with the same period from last year, and more importantly only 13 percent less than the record breaking year of 2019.

The most overnight stays since the beginning of the year have come from Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Croatia, France and the United States of America.
