The Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds, Nataša Tramišak, handed over to the Mayor of Dubrovnik, Mato Franković a contract worth 1,45 million euros, or 11 million Kuna, for the project of installing a system of heat pumps with sea water for the needs of the city swimming pool in Dubrovnik.
The project envisages the reconstruction of the engine room, whereby the goal is to replace the old fossil fuel oil technology with a modern system of renewable energy sources that provides a continuous source of heating with seawater that acts as a stable and reliable heat source.
“The prices of energy products are really growing strongly. By installing this heating system, taking into account the current prices of energy products, we will be saving one million Kuna per year, which is one million additional Kuna for sports and sports clubs in the area of the City of Dubrovnik", said Mayor Franković.
