A magnitude 4.0 earthquake struck at 6:16 a.m. this morning and was felt in the wider Dubrovnik region.

According to information from the EMSC, the epicentre of the early morning earthquake was in the Adriatic Sea 64 kilometres northwest of Durres in Albania, and 12 kilometres southwest of Ulcinj in Montenegro.

Due to its proximity, it was also felt briefly in the Dubrovnik area.
